It is a centuries-old cheese dating back to Roman times. This soft or semi-hard cheese has many varieties with DOP (PDO) status and we can distinguish two general versions: one made with whole milk and the other with partially skimmed milk. Toma Piemontese DOP traditional Italian cheese can be grilled or melted used in different kind of recipes and it is excellent when served with honey fruits jam or Balsamic vinegar.
